New Florida Humane Shelter Update!
The Construction of the new Florida Humane Society Shelter is now a reality!

Ground breaking was September 27th, 2007. Phase I of the building shell, with an unfinished interior, is almost complete.  Please see out progress photo's to the right...

Congratulations to all of those who have worked so hard to make this happen & especially the Lucille Attwell Foundation. Your fund raising efforts as well as the continuing operational efforts, (adoptions, spay, neuter) have made this happen..

You raised $1 million dollars ! We must now raise an additional $900,000.00 to finish the interior of the shelter (Phase II). We will have brochures available for sponsorship of the
individual rooms, areas & grounds.

Our doors will be open when the exterior
is completed, but it will be “bare bones”.  Please consider your donation in helping us
to begin Phase II.  If you have any contacts
in the construction industry, or can help with with supplying doors, windows, plumbing, electric, fixtures, flooring, dry wall, f
encing,
air conditionings, roofing, concrete etc., it would be greatly appreciated.

Please contact us at (954) 570-9507
We look forward to even more success
with the completion of phase II!

To all of our wonderful Volunteers...
THANK YOU!

The Former Florida Humane Society Shelter

The former Shelter at 1925 West Hillsboro Blvd. in Deerfield Beach was sold & torn down on Friday, July 30th, 2004.  Our beloved cats & dogs are now all in Foster homes waiting to be adopted. They are at the Boca Raton PETsMART Saturday & Sunday's, if you would like to meet them.  A generous person has donated a parcel of land to us on the corner of Sample Rd. & Powerline Rd.  However, we are still desperately struggling to raise money to build the new shelter.  We are holding a series of fundraisers for this purpose.  Please check back to this site often for future announcements on fundraising events & how you can help.
